They are generally applicable to all <br />stations. <br /> <br />The Design Criteria are also based upon goals and <br />objectives for station development adopted by the NCDA <br />Board on June 3, 1999. The NCDA also approved the <br />Station Design Criteria on May 3, 2001. (See Resolution <br />2001-03 in Appendix F.1)Additionally, the BNSF has <br />reviewed and provided comment on the Design Criteria. <br /> <br />Track and Siqnal Improvements: Includes outline <br />specifications for construction of the various components <br />of the capacity improvement projects. <br /> <br />VOLUME II <br />A. Maintenance Operations/Facilities Program Report <br />and Design Report: The Maintenance Service and <br />Inspection Facility is located at the "Cargill south" site in <br />Elk River, about ¼ mile south of the Elk River Station on <br />the southerly side of the BNSF tracks. <br /> <br />The Program Report provides the basis for facility <br />design. It describes space requirements and <br />relationships for the activities planned for the facility. <br /> <br />The Design Report builds on the Programming Report by <br />describing the activities that will occur at the S & I facility <br />at Elk River and the Layover facility at Rice. It provides <br />information on the site and track layout; lighting; <br />landscaping; structural; architectural; mechanical; <br />electrical codes; and outline specifications. <br /> <br />A detailed cost estimate and equipment catalog cut <br />sheets are included. <br /> <br />B. Maintenance/Operations Facilities: Drawings <br />Preliminary engineering drawings of the Service and <br />Inspection and Layover Facilities. The detailed site plans <br />include: existing conditions; site layout; grading; utilities; <br />and landscaping.
