Draft Status Report on the Northstar Commuter Rail Project. June 7, 2001 <br /> <br />= <br /> <br />Results <br />a. On June 1, 2001, the Preliminary Engineering package <br /> for the Northstar Corridor Project was submitted to the <br /> FTA by Mn/DOT. (Note: All PE Documents are on file in <br /> the Anoka County Government Center). The engineering <br /> and project design to date includes the following <br /> documents: <br /> <br />VOLUME 1 <br />A. Rail Stations: <br />Standard Directive Drawings:Drawings of station <br />elements that are consistent throughout the system. <br />Examples include civil directives; landscape details; <br />platform drawings; architectural drawings; mechanical, <br />electrical, and structural drawings. <br /> <br />Configuration Drawings: Detailed plan sheets for each <br />station reflecting the distinct design of the station. <br />Examples include: existing conditions; station layout; <br />grading; utilities; platform; site lighting; platform electric; <br />landscape; overpass/underpass. <br /> <br />B/C.Track and Signal Improvements <br />Plan sheets showing construction detail for track and <br />signal improvements that increase track capacity. <br /> <br />D. Multimodal Connection: <br />Alignment, profile, and construction details for the <br />Northstar-Hiawatha multimodal connection. <br /> <br />E. System Signage and Graphics: <br />Directive drawings of signs that provide information on <br />the station site, wayfinding, and system utilization. <br />Includes specific station site configuration drawings <br />indicating sign location. <br /> <br />F. Outline Specifications for Rail Stations and Track and <br />Signal Improvements: <br />Rail stations: Design criteria for station site development <br />including all circulation systems, hard surface elements, <br />landscaping and site amenities. The criteria are based <br />upon standards related to vehicle and pedestrian <br /> <br />Northstar Corridor Development Authority 24 __. <br /> <br /> <br />
