Internet e-mail is provided and is intended for the <br />TT TAU ili ies' business use. <br />. Tact counts. If you are not sure e-mail is the right mediurr~ for your message, use <br />another form of communication. <br />• Never gossip, provide personal information about yourself or someone else, and <br />refrain from emotional responses. <br />• Employees should not communicate with residents, consultants or others using <br />Internet a-mail without first obtaining their consent. Employees, at all times, must <br />use discretion in communicating sensitive information and should select <br />communications methods that will protect such information. <br />. Any messages or information sent by an employee by Internet e-mail or otherwise <br />posted in the World Wide Web are statements that may be identifiable and <br />attributable to the TT T tili i s , as if an employee was sending a letter on <br />it} ili ie letterhead. <br />• Internet a-mail may not be used to participate in Internet discussion groups, bulletin <br />boards or other public forums except for approved T TAU ilitie business, <br />professional development, or business development purposes. <br />• Internet e-mail may not be used for transmitting, retrieving or storing any <br />communications of a discriminatory or harassing nature, or which are derogatory to <br />an individual or group, or which are obscene, or which are of a defamatory or <br />threatening nature, or for "chain letters" or for any other purpose which is illegal or is <br />against TT T tilitie policy or is contrary to the U}~iltilities' interests. <br />• Acceptable uses of the World Wide Web access services from the T T~ il'ti <br />include accessing information forte It'lities business-related purposes, <br />professional education and professional development.
