27. NIGHTWORK REST TIME <br />The Utility will provide a regular field worker with one hour paid rest time for each hour <br />worked between midnight and the start of the worker's scheduled shift, excluding work <br />performed after midnight on Saturday or Sunday. The worker must make arrangements <br />with his or her supervisor before taking such rest time. This nightwork rest time shall be <br />taken during the next scheduled work shift. If the supervisor does not release the worker <br />to take this nightwork rest time, all hours worked by the worker on the next scheduled <br />shift shall be paid at one and one half times the worker's base rate of pay. It is the <br />employee's responsibility to notify the supervisor and obtain approval prior to taking the <br />rest time. It is also the employee's responsibility to take the nightwork rest time if it is <br />approved by the supervisor. <br />Benefits and Leave <br />28. GENERAL BENEFITS <br />This handbook provides a brief description of benefits available to eligible employees. <br />The descriptions provided here are not intended to be comprehensive and all questions <br />regarding eligibility and benefit levels should be directed to your supervisor so the <br />specific plan documents can be reviewed for an answer. The plan documents govern any <br />inconsistencies between these documents and the information provided here. Benefits <br />and eligibility requirements are subject to change, and such changes may not be reflected <br />in this description. <br />The Utility expects to offer its benefit plans for the foreseeable future, but it reserves the <br />right, in its sole discretion, to change, modify or eliminate them at any time, except to the <br />extent prohibited by law. <br />29.
