Utilities vehicles to take home. These vehicles are subject to <br />the Utilities' vehicle policy and may only be used for the <br />exclusive purpose of responding to calls about Utilities <br />business. <br />24. RE-CONNECT STIPENDS AND LEAD PAY DIFFERENTIAL <br />Regular field workers performing re-connects at times other than during their scheduled <br />work hours will be paid a stipend for such re-connect at a rate of $50.00 per re- <br />connection. This stipend is paid in addition to the hourly pay to which the field worker <br />would ordinarily be entitled for working the hours involved in performing the re-connect. <br />An employee who is currently a lineman shall assume the duties of a lead lineman when <br />the lead lineman is absent from a crew, provided that only the most senior lineman on a <br />crew shall assume the lead lineman's duties. The lineman assuming such duties shall <br />receive a rate differential equal to 3% of his or her base rate of pay times the number of <br />hours worked during which the lineman assumed such lead duties. <br />The rate differential provided in this policy applies during both regular scheduled work <br />hours and after-hours. During after-hours call out, as well as at any other time, this rate <br />differential will be paid only when the crew is full and the lead lineman is absent. <br />25. PAYCHECK DEDUCTIONS <br />By law, the Utility is required to withhold federal and state taxes, FICA and PERA from <br />an employee's pay. The Utility also has a Health Care Savings Plan with mandatory <br />participation and will withhold applicable amounts from an employee's pay. In addition, <br />other deductions may be made upon authorization of a participating employee including <br />the following: <br />a. Employee share of health insurance h. World Vision <br />b. Credit Union i. United Way <br />c. PERA life insurance <br />d. Deferred compensation <br />e. Flexible benefits <br />f. Security System purchase/time payments <br />g. Computer Loans $1,200.00 (12 months) <br />26. PAYCHECKS <br />Employees are paid every two weeks. All employee pay periods end on every other <br />Wednesday. Pay day shall be the following Thursday afternoon. Employees are <br />responsible for their paychecks upon receipt. Direct deposit is available to employees <br />upon request. <br />22 <br />
