Johnson presented the staff report. <br />ou . member Zerwas asked if those employees who participated in the high deductible <br />plan he less apt to visit the doctor, thereby decreasing the total health care casts incurred <br />by employees as a group. <br />Ms. Johnson stated that indeed was the intent and It appears that this was happening; <br />however, the City has had only six or sevren months of clnas experience, which is#t enough <br />time before the insurance company considers the City's daims as credible, <br />ou cilmemher Zerwas asked if feedback was received from employees choosing the <br />option of a high deductible plate.. <br />Ms. Johnson stated they had a very high response from employees choosing the high <br />deductible plan. Johnson stated that Sherburne County revised <br />its net tax capacity (NTqesdmate in October folio -i.ng adoption of the maximum levy. <br />The revised NTC has decreased. She outlined options for the Council given this update <br />including proposing budget cuts to meet the Cou 's target tax rate, The Count affirmed <br />that It did not want to exceed the target = rate. Council member Motes said he would like <br />to go hack to the 2008 tax rate. The Council concurred with the two adjustments to the <br />budget included in the memo and using the reserve to balance the General Fund budget for <br />poses of the 'Fruth M Taxation hearing. <br />
