Ms. Johnson reviewed the November worksession <br />topics, suggesting that since there weren't any items on December 8 that her <br />performance review could be held that evening. <br />Payor ming asked that an update on ffie Nortbstar Commuter Rail be placed on a <br />future worksession. <br />ou.ncilmember Moth suggested that staff try to get someone from the l ortla tar <br />Commuter RaU committee to meet with the council. Ms. Johnson stated she will add this <br />item to the January worksession. <br />6. Other Business <br />ouundsnember Gumphrey stated he would not be in attendance at the November 17, 2008 <br />council meedmg. <br />7. Count Updates <br />None. <br />8. Staff Updates <br />Ms. Johnson stated the contractor who installed the downtown pavers will be out to repair <br />them next week dine to some of them smoking lower than expected. 'here should be minimal <br />traffic disruptions. <br />The dv-il engineer position is currently bemng advertised and staff hopes to have a <br />recor=endatlon back to Council in January or February of next year. <br />Sherburne County is cuirendy accepting SCORE grants. The City wM be asking for <br />appro� telt' $90,000 in SCORE grant money to support the City's organics recyding <br />program. The program, which was introduced just to the Trott Brook neighborhood, has <br />been very successful thus far and staff ,%fishes to expand tis program to more residents o <br />E1. River. <br />Sherburne County staff, along with Mayor g, wiU be touring the YMCA on <br />November 4, 2008. <br />City employees recently held a fundraiser for CAER and raised $ 44.00. <br />Both Mayor ICUnzing and Ms. Johnson reminded evexyone to vote on.
