APPLICATION PROCEDURES <br />AND INSTRUCTIONS <br />AreparaL"on: <br />Remove all loose .and/or <br />crumbled laitance and dust from <br />.the surface.. Power washing is <br />advisable, however if the surface to <br />~be coated ig highly contaminated <br />and. cannot be.cleaned sufficiently <br />with power washing; sandblasting <br />will' become necessary. Grease, <br />ail, and .any form release agents <br />should be removed with TK-101 <br />chemical cleaner or other suitable <br />cleaner. Do not apply over any <br />pooling or puddling water. Apply <br />only to fully cured concrete. Any <br />patching or repairs should also be <br />fully cured (see manufacturers' <br />instructions). <br />TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER should only be ap- <br />plied to structurally sound, proper- <br />ly prepared surfaces, for technical <br />assistance contact your nearest <br />TK/SIERRA distributor. <br />Application: <br />TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER may be applied by <br />spray; brush or roller. A slight <br />dampening of the surface may be <br />required if hot or windy conditions <br />persist. It is important that a wet <br />edge or open film be maintained. <br />This practice will eliminate uneven <br />application and allow the film to <br />property coalesce. When appying <br />by roller a one inch nap cover is <br />suggested. With a fully saturated <br />roller, apply in one direction only, <br />either vertical or horizontal. Work <br />new material back into previous <br />areas. and out again achieving a <br />uniform rate of application Never . <br />start or ;stop in the middle of a <br />plain, work from edge to edge, <br />back rolling if necessary. DO NOT <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM OF 100 <br />SFPG. <br />r 1 <br />f._J <br />When applying by spray,.. a <br />hopper type texture gun may be <br />used. On larger scale jobs anon- <br />pulsating positive displacement <br />pump with a minimum 1" material <br />line should be used. Tip size will <br />be determined by the output of the <br />chosen pump. <br />TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER is packaged ready to <br />use. Stir well or agitate before <br />using. Any thinning to be done, <br />should not exceed one pint of clear <br />potable water per gallon. Thinning <br />should .only be considered to <br />facilitate ease of application due to <br />various types of equipment or <br />weather conditions. Never thin for <br />the purpose of extending the <br />material. <br />TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER should be applied only <br />when the ambient air temperature <br />has been 45 F. or above for a <br />period of no shorter than 48 hours <br />prior to application. Avoid <br />application when the chance of <br />mist, rain or temperatures below 45 <br />F. could result sooner than 48 <br />hours after application. DO NOT <br />apply TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER to frost filled block or <br />any frozen surfaces. <br />6. AVAILABILITY AND <br />PACKAGING <br />TRI-SHEEN CONCRETE <br />SURFACER is available in two <br />grades of texture: Fine or Medium. <br />Both are packaged ready to use in <br />5 or 55 gallon containers. <br />Custom colors are available <br />upon request.
