Bidder <br />Triple Combination Pumper Specifications for the Complies <br /> <br />City of Elk River Minnesota Yes No <br />Chrome plated end stanchions shall support the handrail. Plastic gaskets shall be used between <br />end stanchions and any painted surfaces. <br />Drain holes shall be provided in the bottom of all vertically mounted handrails. <br />- Two (2) handrails shall be provided above each side pump panel. <br />- One (1) vertical handrail, not less than 29.00" long, shall be located on each rear beavertail. <br />- One (1) horizontal handrail shall be provided above the hose bed at the rear of the apparatus. <br />AIR BOTTLE STORAGE (Single bottle} <br />A total of four (4) aluminum air bottle compartments shall be provided. The air bottle <br />compartments shall be located two, (2) on the driver's side of the apparatus and, (2) on the <br />passenger's side of the apparatus, at the rear wheel area. The air bottle compartment shall be <br />in the form of a round tube (7.63" diameter minimum) and of adequate depth to accommodate <br />different size air bottles. Flooring shall be rubber lined and have a drain hole. A stainless steel <br />rubber seal gasketed door with a chrome-plated latch shall be provided to contain the air <br />bottle. A dielectric barrier shall be provided between the door hinge, hinge fasteners and the <br />body sheet metal. <br />GROUND LADDERS <br />The following ladders shall be furnished and must meet or exceed the latest NFPA standards: <br />One (1)- 24', two (2) section, aluminum <br />One (1)- 14' roof, aluminum <br />HYDRAULIC LADDER RACK <br />Ground ladders shall be mounted above the right side of the hose body in a specially designed <br />swing-down cradle. This cradle shall be electric/hydraulic operated. The system design shall <br />have been life cycle tested for years of dependable service. <br />An independent hydraulic pump powered by a 12-volt electric motor shall operate the <br />hydraulics. Operation of the hydraulic system for the ladder rack by an engine-powered pump <br />shall be totally unacceptable. The hydraulic pump and reservoir shall be accessible from the <br />ground through a stainless steel inspection door. <br />The rack can be designed in certain situations to provide lifting capabilities up to 500lbs. <br />The maximum height of the rack from the ground in the lowered position shall be no more than <br />47.00". <br />Page 41 <br /> <br /> <br />
