It shall be a digitally <br />controlled system that utilizes microprocessor technology to control the anti-lock braking <br />system. Each wheel shall be monitored by the system. When any particular wheel begins to <br />lookup, a signal to be sent to the control unit. This control unit then shall reduce the braking <br />of that wheel for a fraction of a second and then reapply the brake. This anti-lock brake <br />system shall eliminate the lockup of any wheel thus helping to prevent the apparatus from <br />skidding out of control. <br />ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WARRANTY <br />The ABS system shall come with a three (3) year or 300,000 mile parts and labor warranty <br />provided by AB S manufacturer. <br />BRAKES <br />The service brake system shall be full air type. <br />The front brakes shall be 16.50" x 6.00" cam operated with automatic slack adjusters. <br />The rear brakes shall be 16.50" x 7.00" cam operated with automatic slack adjusters. <br />ENGINE BRAKE <br />A Jacobs engine brake is to be installed with the controls located on the instrument panel <br />within easy reach of the driver. <br />The driver shall be able to turn the engine brake system on/off and have a high and low setting. <br />The engine brake shall be installed in such a manner that when the engine brake is slowing the <br />vehicle the brake lights are activated. <br />The ABS system shall automatically disengage, the auxiliary braking device, when required. <br />Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
