<br />For 2001, the department anticipates continued interest in residential development, <br />commercial/industrial development in the City's easterly area, implementation of GIS, and <br />recodification of the zoning code that will include a complete reorganization of the zoning <br />text. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation <br />The Planning Department provides support to the Park and Recreation Commission. In <br />2000, the Commission accomplished the following items: <br /> <br />. Conducted an Annual Retreat to set goals for 2000. <br />. Conducted a volunteer event at Gagne Park to install park boundary signs. <br />. Reorganized its meeting agendas to improve productivity and encourage public <br />participation. <br />. Reviewed the Park Master Plan. <br />. Acquired a barn to use as a park shelter in Trott Brook Park. <br />. Built a playground in Country Crossing III Park <br />. Continued to evaluate plats for park dedication opportunities. <br />. Created and reviewed a 10-year Capital Improvements Budget. <br />
