This list of goals will not <br />be attached to the job description but is desired by the City <br />Council to provide additional information on how the Fire Chief <br />plans to spend his time in the next two years and what the Fire <br />Chief hopes to accomplish. The following list was submitted by <br />the Fire Chief and includes: <br /> <br />1. Establishing a City Emergency Preparedness Plan. <br /> <br />2. Coordinating the addition to the fire station. <br /> <br />3. Coordinating the purchase of an Aerial Ladder Platform <br />Truck and the training of the firefighters on this new <br />vehicle. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Coordinating <br />wide outdoor <br />system. <br /> <br />the purchase and installation of the City <br />emergency preparedness warning siren <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Working with the City Administrator <br />Council in the establishment of a <br />Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />and the City <br />Fire Department <br /> <br />6. Setting up pre-planning guidelines for fire suppression <br />attacks. <br /> <br />7. Work with the Building Inspections Department on <br />establishing inspection guidelines for existing <br />buildings and their compliance to the fire code. <br /> <br />8. Adoption of a City Fire Code Ordinance. <br /> <br />9. Researching the possibility of a Fire Department <br />physical fitness program and the establishment of <br />volunteer firefighter physical requirements. <br />
