No persons known or <br />suspected or being afflicted with any such disease or <br />condition shall be employed or permitted in such area. <br /> <br />This language would not require the applicant to acquire a <br />physical exam and would prevent the therapist from working on <br />patients with such conditions. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />1) Leave language as is. <br /> <br />2) Replace existing language with above-stated language. <br /> <br />3) Delete all language pertaining to communicable diseases. <br /> <br />ON-SITE THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE <br /> <br />The question to consider is whether an on-site massage <br />therapist is considered a "therapist" and whether he/she should <br />be required to show proof of 48 hours of training. <br /> <br />The term on-site massage is relatively new. Other terms for <br />this service include chair massage and minute massage. Most <br />chair massage courses are approximately 4 to 8 hours in <br />length.
