SCHOOL STREET/JACKSON AVENUE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENIS The plans and specifications for the School Street/Jackson Avenue Intersection and Signalization Project have been submitted to Mnnar. We are in the process of making minor revisions requested by MnDar. We will be prepared to recommend advertising for bids after the school board has had the opportunity to review the proposed project and indicate whether or not they are willing to provide the easements necessary to construction these improvements. 10. T.R. 10 TRUNK SEWER AND LIFT STATION Plans and specifications for the new lift station and trunk sewer from the intersection of T.H. 10 and Main Street down to the wastewater treatment plant have been completed and we are prepared to recommend the City Council advertise for bids on this project. It will be opened in early September and construction will be initiated and completed yet this fall. 11. 500,000 GALLON WATER roWER We are in the process of reviewing shop drawings for the proposed 500,000 gallon elevated tower to be constructed in the northeast portion of the city. It is anticipated that within the next thirty (30) days activity will begin on the site and as earlier discussed, the tower should be erected in 1993. However, it will not be painted or put in service until approximately July 1, 1994. 12. WELL AND WATER TREATMENT PLANT - NORTHEAST AREA The specifications for the well associated with the new tower are nearing completion and should be presented to the utility commission at their September meeting. We would anticipate bidding the project at that point and constructing the well yet this fall. Based on the water samples provided by the new well design of the water treatment facility would proceed through the winter months and bidding will take place in early 1994 allowing construction and completion of that project during the 1994 construction season. 13. WATER TREATMENT PLANT - GARY STREET The contracts have been signed for the water treatment plant on Gary Street and a preconstruction meeting will be scheduled within the next two (2) weeks. Construction is anticipated to begin shortly after that. The construction schedule is for the building to be erected this fall and internal improvements made during the winter months with the facility being placed on line in early 1994.
