TRUNK WATER MAIN TO NEW WATER TOWER <br /> <br />A memo and resolution has been presented for the City Council's consideration relative to <br />preparing plans and specifications for trunk water main from Hillside Estates Ist Addition to the <br />new water tower site. This work would follow an alignment of an easement provided by Rick <br />Foster to the City. This would coordinate with the future phases of the Hillside Estates <br />Development. It is anticipated that plans and specifications would be completed and bidding take <br />place this fall and construction activities could proceed through the fall and early winter months <br />such that water will be available to the site in early spring when testing of the new water tower <br />would begin. <br /> <br />15. EAST T.R. 10 ISSUES <br /> <br />Cover letter, questioner, and examples of potential assessments for properties on the east T.H. <br />10 corridor have been prepared and submitted for the City Council for review. Once the <br />council's comments are received, we are prepared to mail these out to property contained within <br />the first area. Based on the results of the survey, we will need to proceed to other areas to <br />discuss the potential of sanitary sewer and water extensions to east T.H. 10. <br /> <br />16. COMPREHENSIVE WATER STUDY <br /> <br />The comprehensive water study has been completed and submitted to the Elk River Municipal <br />Utilities. The final completion of this study was delayed so that the wastewater treatment plant <br />study could be completed to insure that both of these where based on the same growth factor and <br />included the same service areas. <br /> <br />17. 221ST REALIGNMENT <br /> <br />We are currently working with Phil Hals to prepare preliminary plans for the realignment of <br />221st Avenue in northern part of the city. Phil will then use these plans to solicit quotes for the <br />clearing, grubbing, grading, and reconstruction of this roadway. We are prepared to assist Phil <br />as he may deem necessary through this process. <br /> <br />18. 1993 SEAL COATING <br /> <br />We have prepared plans, received bids, and City Council has awarded the contract to Allied <br />Blacktop Co., for the 1993 Seal Coat Project. Construction of these improvements are <br />anticipated to begin within the next two to three weeks. We will assist Phil Hals in the <br />inspection of this work. <br />
