.

.

.

SUMMARY

LUCKY DUCK DAYS - August 16 - 21, 1993

Second Annual D.A.R.E. Fundraising week will be held in Elk
River, to benefit School District 728. As part of the D.A.R.E.
Awareness Week there will be a number of fundraising activities
taking place.

Approximately 40 retailers located throughout School District
728 will participate by wearing pins, "Ask Me How to Become
a Lucky Duck?" and then asking people to Adopt-A-Duck. A small,
plastic, floatable numbered, duck will purchased by people
wanting to support the D.A.R.E. program. There is no set price
for a dUCk, so any contribution is appreciated. The ducks
float down the Mississippi River in Elk River on August 21.
The winning duck gives its purchaser $500 in coupons and services
from the local retailers, second prize is $200 and Third Prize
is $100.

As part of Lucky Duck Days the Elk River Lions sell Elk Burgers
and donate the profits to D.A.R.E.

There will be frog jumping contests to add to the excitement
of the event. Participation is free. The winners get gift
certificates from local merchants.

All through Lucky Duck Week, under the direction of The Suburban
Builders Assn., and a Community Steering Committee a house will
be built and sold. All proceeds will go to D.A.R.E. (see
attached detail).

Also enclosed are samples of marketing pieces used to promote
Lucky Duck Days i.e. T-shirt, button, duck, flyer.
