<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Event: D.A.R.E. to build a house in seven days <br /> <br />Location: Elk River, Minnesota <br /> <br />Dates: August 16 - 22, 1993 <br /> <br />Sponsors: Suburban Northwest Builders Association <br />Marketing Images <br />Rick Olson Seminars <br />Elk River Police Department <br />City of Elk River <br /> <br />The house to be built will meet the highest standards as <br />established by the Builders Association. It will incorporate <br />innovative design and energy efficient features of the highest <br />quality. It will be featured as part of our Parade of Homes <br />exhibit, so everyone will have a chance to view the quality <br />and workmanship. It will be a home our community will be proud <br />of. (attached are sample homes as featured in the Builders Assn. <br />Spring Home Preview). <br /> <br />Costs and Expenses <br />This project's success will rely heavily on the donation of <br />time, talent and materials of all associated building businesses. <br />Expenses incurred will be settled at the time of closing. <br /> <br />Structure <br />A Project Steering Committee will be created. It will consist <br />of Two Project Leaders (one a professional event coordinator, <br />and the other a profess~onal youth rally specialist who has <br />coordinated a similar project in California to benefit youth <br />ministeries). <br /> <br />Special Task Forces under the Project Leaders will be: <br /> <br />Builder Assn. - Will assign a General Contractor to orchestrate <br />building the home. And, will work closely with <br />the Generalf Contractor to assure availability <br />of laborers etc. <br /> <br />General Contractor - Will work with Donated Services Task <br />Force to keep them aware of building <br />material needs. <br />Make recommendations of subcontractors <br />to contact for the project. <br />Give definition to the build schedule <br /> <br />Work Force Coordinator - Take direction from the General <br />Contractor as to labor needs and scheduling. <br /> <br />Donated Services Task Force - Will be responsible for contacting <br />businesses, manufacturers and other related <br />building vendors for donation of their <br />products, as determined by the General <br />Contractor. <br />
