Ty has been in contact with persons at the <br />State level regarding this issue and he would now like to attend an <br />EDC meeting to discuss Elk River ratios versus other <br />communities. <br /> <br />Dick <br />taken <br />stated <br />cities <br />Eagan. <br /> <br />Gongoll suggested that the specs for the Data Card building be <br />around to get estimates on the taxes in other cities. He <br />that Jim Simpson and himself could work on this and some <br />suggested were Minneapolis. Maple Grove. Minnetonka. and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Chairman Lundberg then questioned what grants are available for EDC <br />use. He also questioned the Industrial Park expansion. Dick Gongoll <br />stated that the City has been cooperative in working with Associated <br />Investors on using MSA funds. The bid for the project was discussed <br />and Gongoll stated that an extension has been granted. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers stated that a meeting will be held between Terry Maurer. <br />City Engineer and the Utilities Commission to discuss a water main <br />interconnection between the Industrial Parks. <br /> <br />It was stated that the City is running out of Industrial land. There <br />is approximately 8 acres to the North of the Industrial Park which is <br />owned by Oliver & Caswell which could be considered. Also. the <br />Growth Management Task Force and the Planning Commission are looking <br />at rezoning properties to Industrial. <br /> <br />4. Report by Consultant on Work Program for 1987 <br />Mike Mulrooney. ;,representing B.D. S. .Inc. stated that the City Council has <br />asked him to look at various items from now through December 31. 1987. <br />The items Mr. Mulrooney referred to were: <br />1. Organizational Development - July. <br />2. Review coordination issues - August. <br />3. Review potential work program for period of October 1. 1987 to <br />December 31, 1988 - September. <br />4. Establish budget for 1988 - October <br />5. Discuss business retention techniques and funding mechanisms for <br />industrial park - November. <br />6. Establish data base on community - December. <br /> <br />Mr. Mulrooney briefly explained each area and what he would be trying to <br />. accomplish each month. <br />
