Discussion <br />also followed regarding the five standards of a conditional use and Ms. Swanson being <br />able to meet all five of the standards. <br /> <br />Mr. Huseth indicated to the Planning Commission that this conditional use would be <br />only for 3 to 6 months as this was just temporary at this time. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER PEARCE MADE A MOTION TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />FOR MS~ PATTI SWANSON, 13651 HIGHWAY"IO, TO OPERATE AN ELECTROLUX OFFICE OUT OF HER <br />HOME AND THIS PERMIT BEING ONLY FOR A 6 MONTH PERIOD PER THE REQUEST OF MS. SWANSON, <br />WITH A 2' X 2' SIGN ON HER HOME. MOTION SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KREUSER. MOTION <br />PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />7. Consider Variance Request - Robert Hastings <br /> <br />This item was tabled until later in the meeting since Mr. Hastings was not yet present <br />for this request. <br /> <br />8. Consider Nonconforming Uses <br /> <br />Chairman Tracy indicated that the Planning Commission was looking for wording that <br />is easier and inquired if this wording has answered the questions of the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Pearce indicated that this item was discussed at a special meeting of <br />the Planning Commission and the City Council earlier this month. <br /> <br />Rick Breezee indicated in regard to this, that it should be noted that if someone <br />applies for a conditional use and it is approved, they still must meet the variance <br />standards. <br /> <br />MOTION BY CO~lISSIONER GUNKEL TO APPROVE THE ORDINANCE AS WRITTEN. MOTION SECONDED <br />BY CO~MISSIONERTRALLE. MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />Discussion followed regarding how many times a person could come back and request <br />this. It was the general consensus of the Planning Commission that it should not <br />exceed 25% of the original structure value. <br /> <br />9. Consider Footprint and New Phasing for Barthel PUD - Concept <br /> <br />Rick Breezee indicated to the Planning Commission that he was informed by the City <br />Administrator that when Barthel presented their concept to the City Council at the <br />last Council meeting, the Council requested a mall be put in their project. Rick <br />Breezee further indicated that the Council directed Barthel to come up with a mall <br />and when they had done that, they were to bring this concept to the Planning Commis- <br />sion. <br /> <br />Chairman Tracy indicated that he wanted clarification as to what exactly the City <br />Council wanted the Planning Commission to do. Chairman Tracy further indicated <br />that he understood the request by the City Council was for the Planning Commission <br />
