<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />June 28, 1982 <br />Page Four <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER PEARCE THAT THE PLANNING CO}lliISSION RECOMMEND TO THE CITY <br />COUNCIL, REGARDING THE BARTHEL PUD/CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, THAT 1) THE SQUARE <br />FOOTAGE OF THE FOLLOWING PARCELS BE ACCEPTED FOR THE PUD: <br /> <br />PARCEL A - 75,000 SQUARE FEET <br />PARCEL B - 5,000 SQUARE FEET <br />PARCEL C - 6,000 SQUARE FEET <br />PARCEL D - 67 UNITS, MULTIPLE DWELLINGS <br />PARCEL F - 41,000 SQUARE FEET <br /> <br />2) PARCEL E OF 23,500 SQUARE FEET OF PROFESSIONAL OFFICE BUILDING NOT TO BE ACCEPT- <br />ED, BUT MULTIPLE DWELLINGS BE APPROVED FOR PARCEL E. 3) A SCHEDULE FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />TO BE ADOPTED AS DESCRIBED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S MEMO OF JUNE 25, 1982. THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION FURTHER RECO}fMENDS BOTH THE CONDITIONAL USE PER}1IT AND THE PRE- <br />LIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL BE DELAYED UNTIL ANSWERS TO THE FOLLOWING <br />QUESTIONS BE BROUGHT BACK TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND THIS FINAL RECO~IENDATION <br />BE GIVEN TO THE CITY COUNCIL: <br /> <br />1) THE PRELIMINARY PLAT INCLUDES THE INFORMATION PRESENTED ON JUNE 21, 1982, <br />INCLUDING THE BUFFERING. <br />2) THE COSTS AND THE ASSESSMENT OF ALL THE FOLLOWING BE MADE: <br />A) SANITARY SEWER <br />B) STOR!vl SEtV"ER <br />C) iV"ATER <br />D) STREETS (INSIDE AND OUTSIDE PUD AREA) <br />E) STREETS AND GROUND ~~INTENANCE <br />F) SHOPPING CENTER SECURITY <br /> <br />THE MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER GUNKEL. <br /> <br />CF~IR}UU~ TRACY ~~E A MOTION TO A}illND THE MOTION LEAVING PARCEL A, FIRST PHASE, AT <br />55,000 SQUARE FEET. THE MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br /> <br />Before the motion was voted upon, Commissioner Gunkel expressed her desire that the <br />sidewalk on Eighth Street be removed from the proposal. Commissioner Gunkel felt <br />that this was a personal request, and she further indicated that only the people <br />on Holt and Gates Avenue could use this sidewalk and these were the people that were <br />opposed to it. <br /> <br />Chairman Tracy indicated that he had looked at the area where the sidewalk will go <br />and he indicated that he could "live \vith it or \vithout it". Chairman Tracy further <br />indicated that Commissioner Pearce's motion referred to memos, one specifically of <br />June 25, 1982, regarding the six conditions of a conditional use permit. Chairman <br />Tracy asked the City Administrator if this was sufficient enought of a motion for <br />the City Council to look at. The City Administrator indicated to Chairman Tracy that <br />this was sufficient. Chairman Tracy then asked Commissioner Pearce to re-read the <br />motion so that everyone understood what was being presented. <br />
