<br /> <br />2. CSO I Tuition Reimbursement <br />a. CSO I is eligible for tuition reimbursement up to $6,000.00 not to exceed 75% of the <br />total cost of tuition, excluding scholarships and grants. Books, activity fees, <br />technology fees, and other non-tuition charges do not qualify for reimbursement. <br />b. Tuition reimbursement is provided in two payments up to $3,000.00 under the <br />following conditions: <br />i. CSO I becomes a sworn police officer with the City of Elk River. <br />ii. Employment is concurrent from CSO I employment to police officer. <br />iii. The employee shall be employed as CSO I for a minimum of 12 months. <br />iv. Successful completion of the degree program within the conditions listed <br />above. <br />v. The first payment will be paid when the employee has passed the POST <br />licensing exam and has a start date to become a City of Elk River police <br />officer. <br />vi. The second payment will be paid after successful completion of the <br />probationary period as a licensed police officer with the City of Elk River. <br />vii. Conditions of this agreement precede labor union eligibility and therefore <br />are not grievable under any circumstances. <br />I have read and agree to the terms and conditions of employment as stated above.
