Farmers market is great but bas ically closes a park ing lot and c reates <br />problems. Thurs day nights traffic is horrible at 5-7pm because of the market and c oncerts <br />which mak es it unappealing to return. Bring in businesses that will draw people who spend time <br />in small towns. Us ed book s tore, c oz y c off ee s hop, and different types of s mall town s hops <br />are great ideas. Parking street-side is a pain, and wit h a lot of new s paces to park, it's not <br />really ov erly nec essary, except for handic ap ac cess. Also, increasing the draw to the river <br />could be big. There is very little acces s to the actual edge of the water and no grass area to sit <br />next to the river. Construction s uc k s all-around, but if there's s ome way that the construc tion <br />traf fic c an be redirec ted, busines s es will do bet ter. <br />8/9/2024 12:52 AM <br />150 ER downtown is right on the river- t here s hould be many modern res taurants/bars (with live <br />mus ic) ov erlooking that v iew - Rogers R-Social and many bar/restaurants in Anoka are great <br />examples .
