Site purchase requirements may apply to Site Option A for future expansions. No direct costs have been projected but are factored in the rational for the site recommendation. SITE DEVELOPMENT COST Site development costs are usually a minor fraction of the total project budget - especially when considered over the number of years the library is anticipated for use. Site costs still are considered along with other factors in this site analysis and selection process due to budget restrictions. UTILITY COSTS . All of the sites require the same utility connections. Cost comparisons are dependent upon the distance or lengths of new utility service connections. Cost projects have been included as they are developed as an appendix to this text. DEMOLITION COSTS Demolition costs apply only to the existing library Site Option A - if the assumption that the library will be replaced (versus expanded) is valid. No other demolition costs for the other two sites are required. ROAD DEVELOPMENT COSTS The only road construction assumptions apply to Site Option B. If the roadway is constructed, the assumption must be that the street development costs are separate from and not included in the project costs for the construction of the library. BUILDING COST IMPLICATIONS Building cost implications are primarily based upon structural requirements based on soil conditions. Identical building programs apply to each of the sites.
