2. Performs forensic examination of cell phones. <br />A. Completes forensic examination of cell phones, SIM cards, and external hard drives. <br />B. ThoroughlyT documents and tyTpes reports on the forensic examination of devices. <br />C. Facilitates the examination of electronic devices that are not examinable in-house by <br />coordinating and transporting to the appropriate agencyT. <br />D. Maintains chain of custody when handling digital evidence. <br />3. Prepares cases and legal documents for the purpose of requesting charges for felonyT, gross <br />misdemeanor, and misdemeanor level offenses. <br />A. Completes case file assemblies (CFA) foY submittal to the Countyr oY City AttoYney's <br />C <br />� <br />E. <br />Office. <br />Processes and files eCharging search warrants. <br />Prepares and submits subpoena requests to the CountyT Attorne�T's Office and to the <br />appropriate corporation contact Tracks and maintains status and follows-up as <br />necessary, reviews and writes reports related to response data received. <br />Runs criminal history checks, driver's license/person and permit to carr�T queries as <br />requested and/or for inclusion with case submissions. <br />Assists clerical staff byT entering and confirming charge accuracyT for reporting <br />purposes prior to submitting CFAs. <br />4. Performs propertyT and evidence duties. <br />A. Intakes and processes properttT and evidence. <br />B. Transports evidence to and from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) <br />laboratory or Midwest Regional Forensics LaboratoryT (MRFL). <br />C. Completes, processes, and receives paperwork and lab reports related to evidence <br />submitted to a laborator�T. <br />D. Responds to scenes to assist in the execution of search �uarrants and the collection <br />and processing of evidence. <br />E. Maintains chain of custodyT when handling evidence. <br />F. Coordinates the destruction of narcotics, alcohol, firearms, and hazardous materials <br />in coopeYarion with the detective sergeants. <br />5. Performs various support duties as assigned. <br />A. Obtains medical records from hospitals, clinics, and other health professionals. <br />B. Obtains and reviews video evidence. <br />C. Assists detectives with presentations and provides training. <br />D. Provides complete and credible testimony in court. <br />E. Drafts search warrants for detectives to ascertain relevant data. Stays apprised on <br />changes to applications. Utilizes resources such as CellHa`vk Toolbox to ensure <br />applicable language is included. Maintains sharded drive of search warrant templates. <br />Is a resource to detective unit for legislative changes and how to modify warrants <br />appropriatel�T. <br />6. PeYforms other essential job duties. <br />A. Regular and timel�T �vork attendance. <br />B. Follo�vs all safety procedures. <br />C. Participates in safety training. <br />D.
