Park & Recreation Commission Minutes April 13, 1994 Page 3 Chris Kreger gave a brief update on the Growth Management Plan and suggested that a member of the Park and Recreation Commission be on the Steering Committee so that the park and trail system may be an integral part of the Growth Management Plan. The Park and Recreation Commission members agreed that a Commission representative should attend the Planning Commission, City Council, and Growth Management Steering Committee meetings. It was the consensus of the group to set up a rotating schedule for attending these meetings. After a brief discussion it was the consensus of the group that Chair Anderson and Commissioner Dana Anderson represent the Park and Recreation Commission on the Growth Management Steering Committee with one being the representative and the other being the alternate, depending on the meeting schedule. 6. Consider Discussion Items for Joint Meetino with City Council on 4/25/94 Chair Anderson said that it would be his preference to discuss philosophical issues and not concentrate on nut and bolt issues. Chair Anderson suggested that the Park and Recreation Commission give the City Council a review of 1993 highlights, an update on Committee assignments, a report on concerns for the park dedication structure, and a review of the redeveloping Master Park Plan, including a suggestion for additional staff for parks. It was the consensus of the Park and Recreation Commission members that these items were appropriate and adequate to fill the two hour time period with the City Council. 7. Consider Proposed Development by Jeff Mastley Phil Hals presented the plat information and a brief discussion was held. COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND ACCEPTING THE PARK DEDICATION FEES IN LIEU OF PARK PROPERTY. COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. 8. Consider Proposed Lot Split at Heritaoe Landino Phil Hals presented the plat information. A brief discussion was held. COMMISSIONER L1PETZKY MOVED TO RECOMMEND ACCEPTING PARK DEDICATION FEES IN LIEU OF PARK PROPERTY. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-0. 8.1 .
