<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Orono Parkway right-of-way on the north side of the plat, Joplin Street right-of- <br />way on the west side of the plat, and County Road 30 on the south side of the <br />plat and eliminate the 20' trail right-of-way on the east plat boundary. <br /> <br />After discussing the idea and the fact that the Planning Commission had <br />concurred with the previous recommendation, it was decided to change the <br />previous recommendation. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED THAT THE RECOMMENDATION FOR THE <br />TRAIL SYSTEM FOR COUNTRY CROSSINGS BE CHANGED TO INSTALL THE TRAIL ON THE <br />NORTH SIDE OF COUNTY ROAD 30 RIGHT-OF-WAY, ON THE EAST SIDE OF JOPLIN <br />STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND THE NORTH SIDE OF ORONO PARKWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />WITH 30' WIDE TRAIL RIGHTS-OF-WAY FROM THE STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY BETWEEN <br />LOTS 6 & 7, BLOCK 1; LOTS 18 & 19, BLOCK 1; LOTS 5 & 6, BLOCK 2; AND LOTS 5 & 6, <br />BLOCK 3 TO PROVIDE TRAIL ACCESS POINTS FROM THE STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />WITHIN THE PLAT AT ALL FOUR CORNERS AND IF SHERBURNE COUNTY WILL NOT <br />ALLOW THE TRAIL ON COUNTY ROAD 30 RIGHT-OF-WAY, THEN THE DEVELOPER <br />SHOULD PROVIDE A TRAIL RIGHT-OF-WAY ON THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF THE PLAT. <br />COMMISSION DALEIDEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Consider Neiqhborhood Ice Rinks for 1994/95 <br /> <br />Phil Hals introduced this request from the City Council that the Park and <br />Recreation Commission consider more outside ice rinks. After a lengthy <br />discussion, the Commission directed Phil to come back to a future meeting with <br />costs for the following: <br /> <br />1. Doubling the size of the sheet ice at Lion's Park. <br />2. Raising the hockey boards at Lion's Park. <br />3. A portable warming house for Lake Orono. <br />4. Provisions to flood a full basketball court at Moldenhauer Park. <br />5. Provisions to flood the basketball court at Barrington Park. <br />6. Extra labor needs to maintain ice rinks. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Consider Capitallmorovements for 1994 <br /> <br />Phil Hals presented the Park Capital Improvements list for 1994. After discussing <br />the project priorities, the following motion was made. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER OLSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE <br />FOLLOWING PROJECTS FOR THE 1994 CONSTRUCTION SEASON: <br /> <br />ORONO PARK <br /> <br />· FINISH WALKWAYS AND HANDICAP ACCESS TO PLAYGROUND EQPT. - $1,000 <br />· EXTEND ORONO TRAIL NORTH TO THE BOAT LAUNCH - $1,000 <br />· EXTEND ORONO TRAIL SOUTH, JUST EAST OF THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX FROM THE <br />FISHING PIER TO ORONO PARKWAY - $2,700 <br />· BUILD 15 PLASTIC PLANK PICNIC TABLES - $1,500 <br />· ADD TWO BARBECUE GRILLS - $500 <br />
