8.80 The city in most of its buildings has in place a paper, can, glass, and plastic recycling, and <br />composting program. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to collect the recyclables and place in an <br />assigned collection bin. <br />8.90 Cleaning Standard <br />For the purpose of this specification, the following definitions are established, and conditions are designated <br />as either clean or dirty for ease in determining contract performance. The following standards of <br />performance shall be considered unacceptable. <br />8.91 Dust and Dirt <br />The presence of dust and dirt or related material on vertical or horizontal hard and soft surfaces to the <br />degree that it is noticeable and will mark clothing or skin. <br />8.92 Stains and/or Marks <br />The presence of stains and marks to the degree that is noticeable and alters the appearance of vertical and <br />horizontal hard and soft surfaces or items of furnishing. <br />8.93 Litter and/or Refuse <br />The presence of litter and refuse on top of, underneath, behind, or around vertical and horizontal hard and <br />soft surfaces or items of furnishing. <br />8.94 Sanitation <br />The condition of sanitation that will cause odor or create a public hazard. Liquid or solid deodorants are not <br />acceptable to control odors unless permitted by the Assistant Facilities Maintenance Superintendent. They <br />are not to be used unless authorized. <br />29 <br />
