B. The Ice Arena hours shall be governed by the ice use therefore hours may differ on a <br />short-term basis. <br /> <br /> <br />21.6 RULES/REGULATIONS AND GENERAL OPERATING GUIDELINES <br />(STAFFING) <br />A. Refer to Section. <br />B. All users shall adhere to the General Facility guidelines as defined in Section. <br />C. The Ice Arena operation is affiliated with the Minnesota Ice Arena Managers <br />Association (MIAMA) shall adopt their rules and guidelines in our operation. <br />D. All Facility Users renting the ice arena must comply with rules and regulations in <br />Section of the Furniture and Things Community Event Center Operating <br />Guidelines. <br />E. General Arena Rules and Guidelines for Ice Rentals and User Groups: <br /> The Furniture and Things Community Event Center is a tobacco free facility. <br />Smoking or use of tobacco by persons under 21 years of age is prohibited as <br />per Minnesota State statute. <br /> Persons suspected of alcohol/drug/illegal substance will not be allowed to <br />participate in ice rental. The Elk River Police will be called on any <br />questionable occurrences. <br /> All groups using the Ice Arena must have a least one adult actively <br />supervising their group. This adult is responsible for the on and off ice <br />behavior of all parties in their group. Additional adult supervisors may be <br />required depending on the type and size of the group. <br /> Non-ice users are the responsibility of the rental group. <br /> All youth groups partaking in hockey are required to wear full USA Hockey <br />Certified (protective) equipment. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, <br />helmets, mouth guards, pads, and gloves. Adult group participants are always <br />encouraged to wear protective equipment. <br /> All groups partaking in broomball are encouraged to wear hockey helmets. <br /> To acquire a team locker room, the group leader must make the request to <br />use the locker room combinations. Locker rooms are for changing and your <br />security; they are not play areas. When rental is over, rental group is to clear <br />out locker room as soon as possible. The team room must be picked up and <br />locked before group leader keys are returned. <br /> It is the rental group’s responsibility to take and leave the ice at contracted <br />times. The Community Center reserves the right to adjust ice times due to <br />circumstances beyond their control. <br /> Teams can temporarily affix team banners to the non-ice side of the glass <br />with suction cups or as approved by management staff during game times <br />and/or team photographs only. All other signs/banners must be pre- <br />approved by the Arena Operation Supervisor, or the Rental Coordinator <br />during the permit process. The Facility User may not affix adhesives (tape) <br />nor pins to post any signs, posters, notices, banner, graphics, visual display, <br />
