Furniture and Things Community Event Center <br />SECTION 21 <br />ICE ARENA <br />21.0 PURPOSE <br /> To establish operating guidelines specific to the arena to promote ice use and dry floor <br />activities. <br />To provide an environment attracting diverse functions on each type of floor surface with <br />priority in ice use for drop-in, structured or dry floor rentals. <br /> <br />21.1 DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Ice Arenas: Includes the ice arena floor, team rooms, skate lobby, figure <br />skating/coaches’ room, other, arena office, mechanical rooms, and <br />Zamboni. <br /> <br />Ice (use) The rink with ice. <br /> <br />Dry floor The rink without ice being a painted concrete flooring. <br /> <br />21.2 FEATURES <br /> <br />A. The Ice Arena One occupancy capacity is ### based on full spectator seating of <br />1,600 and simultaneous rink use. <br />B. The Ice Arena Two occupancy capacity is ### based on full spectator seating of <br />300. <br /> <br />21.3 FACILITY SCHEDULING, PRIORITY, AND PROCEDURES <br /> <br />A. The priority of scheduling users is referred to in Section <br />B. Scheduling of ice will be completed up to 12 months in advance for recreational <br />programs and major uses. Ice scheduling and contracts for major ice users shall be <br />scheduled through the ??. Permanent and season arena personnel shall schedule and <br />process short term ice use permits. <br /> <br />21.4 FEES <br />A. Fees shall follow the fee structure for ice rental. The Ice Rink Manager (Rich) shall <br />have the ability to provide reduced rates during non-prime time hours and low <br />volume use times to promote a self-sufficient operation. <br /> <br />21.5 HOURS OF OPERATION <br />A.
