helping families understand "Call Before You Dig" and staying away from downed power lines. Day of the Dozers helps
the Elk River Community by educating parents and kids about being safe around utilities. You don't want to lose the
opportunity to continue educating the public on these important safety tips! Please read below and consider sending a
letter to the designated folks listed below. I will be attending the City Council meeting on behalf of MUCA, as will
Children's Minnesota. We want ERX to continue its operations — for safety education, for raising money for families in
need, and for our ability to help the community overall.
Below is a message from Heidi Goodin, ERX's Business Manager and Day of the Dozers Committee Member:
Thank you so much for your support of ERX without partners and supporters like you we would not be where we are
today! ERX will be going in front of City Council on Monday, May 161" at 6pm to gain approval of our Conditional Use
Permit, we've had great support from city staff, parks and rec and the planning commission. Late yesterday we received
word that a few neighbors are walking around with a petition to shut ERX down. Their concerns boil down to noise and
traffic, we hear their concerns, have tried, and will continue to mitigate these whenever possible.
As valued friends and supporters of ERX, I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your support. Would you be able to
attend the City Council Meeting with us on Monday, May 161" at 6pm? If you feel compelled to stand up and say a few
words in support of ERX great, if you are there just to show support that's great too.
When: Monday, May 161", 2022
Time: 6pm
Where: 13065 Orono Parkway NW, Elk River MN 55330
If you are unable to attend but would still like your voice to be heard, please send one email and include:
• Mr. Cal Portner CPortner(O IklFivrIMN.Gov. ..................................
• Mr. Chris Leeseberg (CILsr( EIkR!verMN.Gov)
• Ms. Heidi Goodin IliGood!n(nv!siaanCom an .com
• in the email subject line "Public Comment" and include your full name and address to ensure your comment is
included in the meeting's official minutes
Thank you for your continued support!
Heidi Goodin I Business Manager
Ste hanie Menning, CAE, IOM
Executive Director, MUCA
