<br />~,.. <br /> <br />r" u <br /> <br />P1anning Commission Minutes <br />April 22, 1986 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CCl-fMISSIONER FUCHS MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE <br />SIGNAGE FOR PRAIRIE HOUSE RESTAURANT LOCATED AT 600 DODGE AVENUE. <br />COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />10. Consider Variance Request by Richard Kurth/p.'H. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Kurth owner of Broadway Bar was present and indicated he was <br />requesting permission to add 12 feet onto the front of his building. Mr. <br />Kurth indicated he did not come in with a site plan and also plans of his <br />addition because of the expense unless he had some assurance it would be <br />approved. <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle opened the public hearing. No one appeared for or against <br />the request. <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that Mr. Kurth bring in <br />the site plan and the plan of the addition for our review also that the <br />cost of the alterations is not in excess of 25% of the assessed value of <br />the improvements on the property. <br /> <br />This was tabled until the following Planning Commission Meeting. <br /> <br />11. Consider Variance Request for Gregory Johnson/P.H. <br /> .;, <br />. This item was cancelled. <br />12. Consider Variance Request by Tim Smith/P.H. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Smith was present and indicated he was requesting a 5 foot l' <br />encroachment on the 20 foot side yard setback required in an R-1B zone to <br />build a single fmily dwelling. <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle opened the public hearing. <br />opposition of the request. <br /> <br />No one appeared for or in <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />The Building and <br />an administrative <br />by removing the <br />a house on lot <br />this is one of the <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator indicated Mr. Smith is going through <br />subdivision to create one buildable lot out of the two <br />lot line between lots 9 and 10 because Mr. Johnson build <br />11 which straddles that lot line.
