':' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />page 7 <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />April 22,1986 <br /> <br />Further discussion was held regarding the other conditions, such as noise, <br />glare, ordor and refuse, also egress and ingress to the property and the <br />Planning Commission felt there would be no problem with this. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that the City Attorney, <br />Peter Beck, draft a conditional use permit reflecting the Planning <br />Commission's recommendation to the Council. <br /> <br />The City Attorney indicated that the Conditional Use Permit should cover <br />the entire operation and that the County Fair Board should also sign and <br />review the permit. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER FUCHS MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SHERBURNE COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY UNTIL THE <br />YEAR 2001 WITH A REVIEW OF THE PERMIT EVERY TWO YEARS. COMMISSIONER <br />BARRETT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />8. Consider Sign Request by Pamida Store <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle introduced this item to the Planning Commission and <br />indicated they were proposing one free standing sign, 36 feet high with <br />two faces, one is 11 by 28 feet and the other 19 by 3 feet 6 inches. <br /> <br />Chairman Tralle asked for comments from the audience. There was no one <br />for or against the proposal. <br /> <br />Discussion was <br />questioned what <br />than the 36 feet. <br /> <br />held <br />the <br /> <br />regarding the signage and Commissioner Fuchs <br />present Elk River Mall sign was and if it was higher <br /> <br />The Building and <br />roughly 380 feet <br />commercial district <br />would be allowed. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator indicated that Pamida's lot has <br />of frontage on Freeport and if this store was going in a <br />versus a PUD the amount of signage they are requesting <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WILSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE THE <br />665 SQUARE FEET OF SIGNAGE FOR PAMIDA. COMMISSIONER BARRETT SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />9. Consider Sign Permit for Prairie House <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Lyons <br />were proposing <br />South can see <br />wagon that is <br /> <br />representing the Prairie House Restaurant indicated they <br />to alter their existing sign so as traffic coming from the <br />the sign. They would also like to remove the 6 by 8 foot <br />on top of their sign reducing the total amount of signage. <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding the access on the south side of the property <br />which was to be blocked off or hard surfaced. Mr. Lyons indicated they <br />would work with the owner of this property regarding this problem. <br />
