Tyler Wiles, PE, PTOE, LEED-AP
Client Manager I Project Manager
Tyler's experience includes a variety of traffic engineering sub -disciplines including, intelligent transportation
system planning and design, traffic signals, signing and pavement marking, roadway lighting, and traffic operations
HR G ree n .
and studies. He has a diverse background in various traffic orientated fields which provides a well-rounded
view of traffic impacts involved with any project. He has lead projects that change lane configuration which
reduces traffic capacity for the inclusion of multi -modal facilities. These "road diet" style projects require a firm
Experience
understanding of the traffic impacts, both locally and regionally. Tyler's experience with these projects will blend
14 Years
seamlessly for the South Shore Trail Project. He has assisted in the completion of traffic impact studies, traffic
control plans, traffic signal and interconnect designs, interchange justification reports, roadway safety audits,
Education
ramp management feasibility studies, traffic calming studies, school campus traffic circulation studies, Safe-Routes-
BS, Civil Engineering, Iowa State University-
to -School studies, and reports for the Iowa DOT Traffic Engineering Assistance Program.
2007
Registration/ License
Relevant Project Experiences
Profesional Engineer - MN #52808. IA #20906 TH 27 / 1-94 Corridor Study — MnDOT — Traffic Engineering Task Lead
Professional Traffic Operations Engineer - As Traffic Engineering Task Lead, Tyler was responsible for aligning traffic engineering resources with the project to
#3334 complete the required tasks on schedule, which required an Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) report. He helped
guide the study processand managed junior staff. The assessment investigated the use of traditional highway
improvements to enhance traffic performance, mobility, and driver satisfaction.
TH io Traffic Study — MnDOT — Traffic Engineering Task Lead
As Traffic Engineering Task Lead, Tyler was responsible for guiding the project through the study process, aligning
traffic engineering staff resources with the project schedule, and overseeing the deliverables for the study. The goal
of the study was to provide a traffic analysis and design feasibility assessment to assist the State in identifying a
preferred access improvement concept to improve safety and mobility through the TH 10 corridor in Big Lake, MN.
Tyler led all meeting with the Project.
Iowa Highway 2 Corridor Study — Iowa DOT — Traffic Engineering Task Lead
HR Green successfully renewed their on -call contract with the Iowa DOT to complete projects under the Traffic
Engineering Assistance Program. HR Green provided various traffic engineering services on approximately twenty
separate studies under the previous Traffic Engineering Assistance Program on -call contract. Each of the studies
involved unique nuances and approaches, with a few of the studies extending outside the range and technical
depth of a typical TEAP study. HR Green was and is consistently able
to deliver through its diverse mix of expertise ranging multiple offices and technical backgrounds as well as through
continually developing fresh and innovative methods of results.
Tyler oversaw the technical development of traffic engineering analysis and final report production. Tyler was
responsible for technical aspects of the report, as well as documentation of findings and report writing.
42 Comprehensive Plan Update i City of Elk River, Minnesota
Prepared by Houseal Lavigne
