SECTION 02741-BITUMINOUS PATCH <br /> PART 1-- GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SUMMARY <br /> A. This section covers the furnishing of all labor, materials,tools,equipment and performances of all work and <br /> services necessary or incidental to the construction of plant-mixed bituminous surfacing as indicated on the <br /> plans or as specified herein. <br /> 1.2 METHOD OF MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> A. Measurement and compensation for the following items shall be paid according to the referenced <br /> specification or as modified below: <br /> B. Payment for bituminous patch shall be at the unit price bid per square yard (SY)of bituminous patch. The <br /> amount bid shall include all material and work required to construct the bituminous patch as specified on <br /> the plans, including: <br /> 1. Removal and disposal of bituminous pavements. <br /> 2. Common excavation <br /> 3. Subgrade Preparation <br /> 4. Aggregate Base Course <br /> 5. Bituminous Base Course, if specified <br /> 6. Bituminous Tack Coat <br /> 7. Bituminous Wearing Course <br /> 8. Constructing clean vertical edges on adjacent asphalt surfaces. <br /> C. The furnishing and installing of specific items and/or the performance of work under certain circumstances <br /> shall not be individually paid in the absence of a specific bid item for the work. The costs shall be included <br /> in the unit price bid for the associated bituminous patch. Such items of work include but are not limited to: <br /> 1. No exception to the referenced specifications is made. <br /> 1.3 SPECIFICATION REFERENCE <br /> A. Unless noted otherwise,the provisions in this section are in addition to the referenced specification. <br /> B. Removing Existing Bituminous Pavements <br /> 1. MnDOT 2104 shall apply to the removal and disposal of bituminous pavement,except as modified <br /> herein. <br /> C. Common Excavation <br /> 1. Mn DOT 2105 shall apply to the common excavation,except as modified herein. <br /> D. Subgrade Preparation <br /> 1. MnDOT 2112 shall apply to the subgrade preparation,except as modified herein. <br /> E. Aggregate Base Course <br /> 1. Mn DOT 2211 shall apply to the construction of aggregate base,except as modified herein. <br /> F. Bituminous Tack Coat <br /> 1.
