D. Site Management Plans meeting the minimum requirements of MnDOT 1717.An updated Site <br /> Management Plan shall be submitted as needed to reflect changes to: <br /> 1. Types and/or Locations of BMPs <br /> 2. Material Storage and Spill Response <br /> 3. Fueling Plans <br /> 4. Locations for Stockpiles,Concrete Washout,and Sanitation Facilities and <br /> 5. Project Phasing <br /> E. PDF copies of all SWPPP Documentation including but not limited to: <br /> 1. Field Copy of the SWPPP. If the Field Copy has been replaced during Construction with an updated <br /> SWPPP,a copy of both the final Field Copy and all intermediate copies shall be provided. <br /> 2. Inspection Logs including all supporting documents. <br /> PART 2-- PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MATERIALS <br /> A. For all materials not specifically discussed below no exceptions to the referenced specification are made. <br /> B. Bale checks shall not be used. <br /> PART 3-- EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 GENERAL <br /> A. Construction and/or installation of all appropriate erosion &sediment control devices shall be completed <br /> prior to any soil disturbing activities. <br /> B. Prior to construction,the Contractor shall observe and document the existing storm water outfall system <br /> and discharge area. Sediment deposits not documented prior to the construction may be assumed to have <br /> originated from the project site and be required to be removed and disposed of by the Contractor. <br /> C. Prior to construction,the Owner, Engineer and Contractor shall review the project to identify critical areas <br /> that could require rapid stabilization during the construction process, and develop mitigation and rapid <br /> stabilization plans to be incorporated into the SWPPP. <br /> 3.2 CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. The Contractor shall provide one or more trained Construction SWPPP Manager(s).The Construction <br /> SWPPP Manager shall be a knowledgeable and experienced in the application of erosion prevention and <br /> sediment control BMPs and will oversee the implementation of the SWPPP,and the installation, inspection <br /> and maintenance of the erosion prevention and sediment control BMPs.A Construction SWPPP Manager <br /> must be available for an on-site inspection within 72 hours upon request by the Owner and/or MPCA. <br /> Failure to provide a trained Construction SWPPP Manager or failure of the Contractor to rectify the <br /> situation within 24 hours of written notice if the provided Construction SWPPP Manager fails to adequately <br /> perform the duties of Construction SWPPP Manager may result in the Owner or Engineer arranging for <br /> performance of these duties by others. <br /> B. If Contractor fails to install and/or perform the appropriate erosion and sediment control practices,as <br /> determined by the Engineer,the Engineer may issue a written order to the Contractor. Failure to perform <br /> this work within 24 hours of written notification may result in the Owner or Engineer arranging for <br /> completion of the work by others. <br /> C. When the Engineer determines that the erosion and/or sediment control practices installed by the <br /> Contractor have failed,the Contractor shall correct the cause and alleviate all sediment deposition,to the <br /> fullest extent possible.
