A. The CONTRACTOR shall maintain at the construction site one complete set of drawings suitably marked to <br /> show all deviations from the original set of drawings and other information as specified. Supplementary <br /> sketches shall be included, if necessary,to clearly indicate all work as constructed. All manholes, bends and <br /> valves shall be located with tie-off dimensions to known items on the plans or in the field to enable the <br /> Contractor or City personnel to locate these structures for adjustment. <br /> B. All work shall be clearly shown and the record drawings and service record forms shall be satisfactory to the <br /> OWNER in order to insure that adequate information is indicated to show the actual construction. The <br /> complete set of the record drawings shall be submitted to the ENGINEER prior to submittal of the final <br /> Application for Payment. Failure of the CONTRACTOR to maintain an up-to-date set of record drawings on <br /> the project site shall be reason to withhold payments. All underground lines shall be determined from the <br /> record drawings. <br /> 1.5 CONSTRUCTION PHOTOS <br /> A. The CONTRACTOR shall take digital photos during the course of construction using only cameras or smart <br /> phones with Global Positioning System(GPS)capabilities. GPS location settings shall be turned on at the <br /> time of taking each photo. The quality of the photos submitted shall be sufficient to clearly depict the focal <br /> points in the photo. <br /> B. The CONTRACTOR shall take photos of underground construction work prior to backfilling. Such items to be <br /> photographed include but are not limited to: connections to existing utilities,fittings. <br /> C. After the first couple days of underground construction,the CONTRACTOR shall submit to the ENGINEER a <br /> sample set of digital photos. The test set of photos will be reviewed to verify that the date,GPS <br /> coordinates,and other photo features are being recorded. <br /> D. All photos shall be submitted to the ENGINEER in a digital format immediately upon completion of the <br /> utility installation. The digital properties of the photos,such as date and time taken and GPS coordinates, <br /> shall be full intact at the time of submittal. Failure of the CONTRACTOR to maintain a set of construction <br /> photos shall be reason to withhold payments. <br /> PART 2-- PRODUCTS(NOT USED) <br /> PART 3-- EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 SUBMITTAL ROUTING <br /> A. All submittals shall be approved by the Contractor prior to submission to the Engineer. <br /> B. A Letter of Transmittal that identifies the submitted item and the review action required shall accompany <br /> all submittals. <br /> 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for filling in the following information on the Letter of Transmittal: <br /> (a) Date. <br /> (b) Submittal No. <br /> (c) Identify what is being sent checking the appropriate box. <br /> (d) No.Copies Submitted. <br /> (e) Identify the Specification Section the attached information relates to. <br /> (f) Subject of Shop Drawing or Other Submittal. <br /> (g) Check whether the Shop Drawings are or are not in compliance. <br /> (1) If not in compliance, list the features which are not. <br /> (h) Sign and Date. <br /> 3.2 RESPONSIBILITY <br /> Elk River Landfill, Inc. -R16.115896 SUBMITTALS <br /> March 2019 PAGE 01330-2 <br /> V062612 ©Bolton&Menk,Inc.2018,All Rights Reserved <br />
