Elk River <br /> Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br /> TO: FROM: <br /> ERMU Commission Mark Fuchs—Electric Superintendent <br /> MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br /> May 14, 2019 6.1c <br /> SUBJECT: <br /> Staff Update <br /> ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> None <br /> DISCUSSION: <br /> • Had 10 new house services. <br /> • Continue collecting data with the GPS for our ArcView maps as time permits. <br /> • Finished tree trimming for the year. We will begin again in the winter. <br /> • Continued rebuilding the three phase overhead line on Jarvis Street between 165th <br /> Avenue and Highway 10. <br /> • Deenergized one side of Monroe Street so they could widen the road for Monroe <br /> Estates residential housing development off of 2215t Avenue. There will be a total of 13 <br /> lots in this development. <br /> • Began installation of the infrastructure required for the acquisition of Area 7. We will be <br /> acquiring Area 7 and 8 in September. <br /> • Switched out overhead single phase primary wire to underground secondary wire in <br /> some of the areas requiring more frequent tree trimming. <br /> • We are going through the new GIS map book and verifying that it matches what is in <br /> the field. As part of this process the equipment is inspected and repairs are made as <br /> needed. <br /> • Diversified Inspections performed our annual inspections on the bucket and digger <br /> trucks. The inspections include: Visual/Operational, Magnetic Particle, Dielectric, Load <br /> and Acoustic Emission Testing. <br /> • We received our John Deere multi-purpose utility vehicle and the Vemeer Vac-Tron, <br /> which uses high pressure water and vacuum to excavate soil. Both of these were <br /> budgeted items. <br /> • Darren Weber,Jared Rolstad, and Jake Koehler assisted Fairmont with mutual aid April <br /> 12-15 after a storm damaged electric equipment, and caused outages. <br /> • On May 13 we will be interviewing for the open lineworker position. <br /> Page 1 of 1 <br /> 395 <br />
