Discuss 2004 CIP Budget <br /> <br />Director of Planning Ms. McPherson reviewed the preliminary 2004 CIP Budget Project <br />List. The Commission directed staff to prepare a status report of projects in 2001, 2002, and <br />2003 for discussion at the November meeting. The direction to pursue in 2004 will then be <br />further discussed. <br /> <br />9.G3. Discuss Items for Joint Meeting with the Planning Commission <br /> <br />Ms. McPherson stated that staff has arranged a joint meeting with the Planning Commission <br />on November 12th beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Commission was asked to generate a list of <br />agenda topics for discussion. The following items were identified: <br /> <br />. Master Park Plan <br />. Mission Statement <br />. Goals and Objectives <br />. Neighborhood Park Composition <br />. Greenways <br />. Status Report on Park Boundary Signs <br />. Planning vs. Park and Recreation Goals <br />. Encroachment into City Parks by Residential Activities <br /> <br />9.G4. Establishment of Greenway Subcommittee <br /> <br />Director of Planning Michele McPherson reviewed the memo requesting the establishment <br />of a Greenway Subcommittee. She stated that the pwpose of the subcommittee would be to <br />prepare Requests For Proposal to complete a natural resources inventory within the <br />community. The following commissioners volunteered to serve on the subcommittee: <br /> <br />. Paul Paige <br />· Jim Nystrom <br />. Dawn Polston-Hork <br /> <br />Commissioner Kuester inquired as to the status of the oak wilt suppression site located on <br />City property. Phil Hals stated that he had met with County Forester Tim Edgeton and that <br />he was working with Rebecca Haug, Environmental Technician, regarding that particular <br />Site. <br /> <br />10.
