<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Council Minutes <br />May 2, 2005 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Dr. Ron Bratlie, Director of Special Projects ISD #728 - indicated that this will be the <br />fourth two-story school in the District and the building has been designed to be the highest <br />efficiency school in the District. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER TO APPROVE THE CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT THE <br />SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TWIN LAKES ROAD (CR 13) AND CLEVELAND <br />STREET (CR40) WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. ALL COMMENTS OF THE CITY ENGINEER SHALL BE <br />ADDRESSED. <br /> <br />2. THE LANDSCAPE PLAN SHALL BE AMENDED TO REFLECT STAFF <br />COMMENTS. <br /> <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.5. <br /> <br />Consider Resolution Accepting Bid and Authorizing Execution of Contract in the Matter of <br />the King Avenue Parking Lot and Miscellaneous Park Paving Improvements of 2005 <br /> <br />City Engineer Terry Maurer presented the bids received as outlined in his staff report. Mr. <br />Maurer stated that staff is requesting that the Council award the contract minus Bid <br />Schedule #1 which is the King Avenue parking lot. He stated that this portion of the bid is <br />being withheld from approval until all of the contingency requirements of the development <br />agreement between MetroPlains and the city are addressed. Mr. Maurer indicated that staff <br />plans to come back to the Council for approval of the King Avenue parking lot portion of <br />the bid possibly as soon as the May 16 meeting. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER MOTIN AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 05-47 <br />ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN <br />THE MATTER OF THE KING AVENUE PARKING LOT AND <br />MISCELLANEOUS PARK IMPROVEMENTS OF 2005 (MINUS BID <br />SCHEDULE #1, KING AVENUE PARKING LOT). MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5.6. Consider Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering Advertisement of <br />Bids for the WWTP Headworks and Secondaty Digester Cover <br /> <br />City Engineer Terry Maurer indicated that staff is requesting Council approval of the plans <br />and specifications and authorization to advertise for bids for the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant headworks and secondary digester cover. <br /> <br />MOVED BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUMPHREY TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 05-48 <br />APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING THE <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS IN THE MATTER OF THE WWTP <br />HEADWORKS AND SECONDARY DIGESTER COVER IMPROVEMENT OF <br />2005. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />
