MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 6.5. Ice Arena Commission Update and Ice Rate Adjustments Councilmember Farber provided an update on the April 5, 2005 Ice Arena Commission meeting. Mr. Farber noted that a major concern of the Commission was services at the concession stand. He indicated that at that meeting, the Ice Arena Commission recommended that the City Council approve an increase in ice rates. MOVED. BY COUNCILMEMBER FARBER AND SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ TO APPROVE THE FOLLOWING HOURLY ICE RATE INCREASES AND TIME CHANGES: · REGULAR SEASON PRIME TIME: $153.00 · REGULAR SEASON NON-PRIME TIME: $125.00 · OFF-SEASON PRIME TIME: $125.00 · OFF-SEASON NON-PRIME TIME: $95.00 · OFF-SEASON WEEKEND: $95.00 · PRIME TIME ICE TO BEGIN AT 10:00 A.M. ON SUNDAYS · REGULAR SEASON TO BEGIN AFTER THE SECOND WEEKEND IN MARCH OF EACH YEAR · WEEKEND OFF. SEASON ICE RATES TO BEGIN JUNE 1 OF EACH YEAR. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 6.6. Update on Quarterly Ci1;y-County Engineering Meeting Regarding County Roads City Engineer Terry Maurer provided an overview of the April 26, 2005 City/County Transportation Meeting minutes as included in the Council packet. 6.7. Discuss Council Worksession Agendas City Administrator Pat Klaers reviewed the tentative Council Worksession agendas for May and June. 7. Other Business Councilmember Farber indicated that he would like staff to prepare a resolution or letter to be sent to the School Board and legislators expressing the City of Elk River's opposition for Elk River Area School District #728 to be split into two separate districts.
