According to staff the roofing material has failed, allowing for water intrusion, contrary to <br />code. <br /> <br /> <br />Description of Code Deficiencies <br /> <br />1. A code compliant restroom should be installed. <br />2. A code required means of access to all levels should be created. <br />3. Code required 10-inch kick plates should be installed on all glass doors. <br />4. A code required drinking fountain should be installed. <br />5. The HVAC system should be replaced to comply with code. <br />6. Damaged carpeting should be removed/replaced to comply with code regarding emergency egress. <br />7. A code required building sprinkler system should be installed. <br />8. Code required 36-inch clearance should be kept in front of all electrical panels. <br />9. The emergency notification system should be made code compliant. <br />10. Code required fire proofing should be installed. <br />11. Roofing material should be replaced to prevent water intrusion per code. <br /> <br /> <br />Overview of Deficiencies <br />This two-story building houses an antique business. It is a wood framed structure that does not have current <br />code required life safety systems in place. The building does not have a code required sprinkler system or <br />code required fireproofing. The HVAC system does not comply with code. The interior spaces should be <br />re-carpeted and repainted. Interior lighting is not consistent. There is no code compliant restroom and there <br />is no code required means of access to each level.
