Using the Plan <br /> • after presently serviced areas have been developed to near capacity. <br /> 10. Preserve natural systems through acquisition, dedication or easements. <br /> 5. Require that development plans demonstrate a compatibility with <br /> natural features and systems. <br /> 6. Establish tree preservation and protection standards to maintain the <br /> integrity of the City's natural vegetation. <br /> 7. Preserve public access to wetlands, lakeshore or other natural <br /> preservation areas through purchase, easement, dedication or other <br /> instrument. <br /> 8. Work with developers to preserve existing natural open space areas <br /> and areas that help implement the Greenway concept. <br /> 9. Develop, preserve and protect environmental resources within the area, <br /> such as forest, wetlands, water bodies and shorelines, with respect to <br /> open space, recreational uses, water and air quality, and natural <br /> ecosystems. <br /> 10. Encourage the preservation of shorelands, wetlands, and drainage ways. <br /> 11.
