MOVED TO APPROVE THE 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS <br />BARN DANCE. COUNCILMAN ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />ll~. The Shoulders on the Streets in the Peterson Addition <br /> <br />Councilman Engstrom indicated that he had received complaints from the resi- <br />dents in the Peterson Addition that the shoulders on their roads have not been <br />completed. Councilman Engstrom indicated that the completion of the shoulders <br />were a part of the project. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that he would review the area with the City's <br />Engineers, McCombs, Knutson and Associates, and require the contractor to com- <br />plete the project. <br /> <br />12. Administrator's Update <br /> <br />A. Sanitary Sewer Interceptor <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the project was proceeding on schedule <br />and that the Engineers have reviewed the feasibil~ty of building the sewer <br />interceptor in the right-of-way in the Schoolview Addition. The City Ad- <br />ministrator indicated that the Engineers recommend the line be built in line <br />with the lift station out of the right-of-way because of the utility cables <br />and the water lines in the right-of-way. Councilman Toth questioned the <br />number of trees that would be required to be removed from the Powers' prop- <br />erty. The City Administrator indicated that approximately 7 evergreen trees <br />would have to be removed from the Powers ,. property, and further indicated <br />that the obtaining of an easement from Mrs. Powers was in the process. <br /> <br />B. Gravel Tax <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that the legislation proposed for a gravel <br />tax placed by the Municipalities on gravel pit operations was not adopted and <br />further indicated that such legislation was not proposed in the near future. <br /> <br />C. Budget Committee <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that he was in the process of setting up <br />a Budget Connnittee meeting to discuss certain key issues to be considered by <br />the City Council in the 1982 budget and to proceed at a slower pace in the <br />five-year budget projection. <br /> <br />
