Mr. Chouinard <br />indicated that the home next to his is on property less than an acre in size. <br />Mr. Chouinard further indicated that he had requested the variance and admin- <br />istrative subdivision because he can no longer take care of his two-acre parcel <br />of property. <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the possibility of the new lot created as <br />a buildable lot. Mr. Rick Breezee indicated that he felt a home could be con- <br />structed on a lot next door to.the Chouinards', depending on the architecture <br />but further indicated that it was a ~uestion of precedent. <br /> <br />Counci1member Duitsman indicated that he is well aware of the property being <br />surrounded by other one-acre lots and further indicated that it would be <br />difficult for him to vote against the City's Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Chouinard indi~aLed~ that his neighbor to the south, Mr. Goodin, was interested <br />at one point in. time in purchasing part of his property, but they had not been <br />able to come to an agreement and therefore, Mr. Chouinard indicated he is re- <br />questing the variance and administrative subdivision to create a separate buildable <br />lot. <br /> <br />Counci1member Gunkel indicated that she shared the concerns of Counci1member <br />Duitsman regarding the variance to the City's Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO DENY THE VARIANCE REQUEST BY MR. RICHARD CHOUINARD <br />OF 19915 PROCTOR ROAD. COUNCILMEMBER DUITS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Rick Breezee, the City's Building and ZO ing Administrator, indicated that <br />the Planning Commission has directed City St ff to study the area to determine <br />if 2~ acre lots are appropriate for the area. <br /> <br />14.
