Marty Administrative Subdivision Request - Public Hearing

The City Administrator indicated that Mr. Hubert Marty and Mr. George Carlson
of Princeton, Minnesota, have requested an administrative subdivision for lot 24,
block 2, of the Ridgewood East subdivision. The City Administrator indicated
that Mr. Marty's request is to subdivide lot 24 into three parcels which would
enable Mr. Marty to sell each side of the duplex already built and leave a
third parcel available for future development. The City Administrator further
indicated that the current zoning for the specific parcel is R-2, and as such,
the future development proposed would be allowed. The City Administrator
indicated that the City staff finds that each of the three resulting parcels
meets the City's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, and therefore, it is recom-
mended that the City Council approve the subdivisi n request. Discussion was
carried on regarding the specific location of the ubdivision request.

Further discussion was carried on regarding the ho esteadingof each side of the
two family dwelling, and if it could be rented if ach side was not individually
sold. Councilmember Gunkel questioned the possibi ity of subdividing the site
that is proposed for future development at the sam time this subdivision is
being accomplished. The City Administrator indica ed that it is easier to
subdivide the parcel after the two family dwelling is constructed, because
of the surveying that must be done after the build'ng is complete.

COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPROVE THE ADMINI TRATIVE SUBDIVISION REQUEST
BY MR.
