Consideration of Purchase of Front End Loader for Street <br />Department <br /> <br />Phil Hals., the City's Street Superintendent., indicated <br />that he had brousht this item before the Council at <br />their last Council meetins and further indicated he <br />would like to set an answer from the Council one way or <br />another resardins the purchase of the IT 28 Front End <br />Loa der.. <br /> <br />Councilmember Williams questioned whether the Street <br />Superintendent had checked around f~r a quick attach <br />hook-up to fit our present loader. The Street <br />Superintendent indicated that he had checked and found <br />none in the used inventories available. <br /> <br />Counc i lmember. Consideration of Snow Emersency Parkins Restrictions <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent indicated that he felt the <br />problem of cars parked on City Streets durins snow <br />pI~wins should be addressed. He indicated he would like <br />to see Elk River set a policy which would require no on <br />street parkins between the hours of 2=00 a.m. to 6=00 <br />a.m.durins the months of N~vember 15 to April 15. He <br />further indicated that other cities in the area have <br />such parkins restrictions. He indicated that it would <br />be beneficial to help the plowins situation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schuldt brousht UP the question of what <br />the people do who have no sarases., as they will have no <br />where to park their cars durins these hours. <br /> <br />After discussion resardins this matter, it was the <br />consensus of the City Council that the City Staff draw <br />UP a resolution and brins it back to the City Council <br />for action resardins no on street parkins. <br /> <br />SE.
