IMPROVEMENTS ON SCHOOL STREET. <br />COUNCrLMEMBER WILLIAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 85-36 DECLARING THE COST TO BE <br />ASSESSED AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR SANITARY IM- <br />PROVEMENTS ON SCHOOL STREET. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER WILLIAMS MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 85!7 ORDERING THE DATE OF AUGUST 26, <br />1985 FOR THE ASSESSMENT HEARING OF THE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ON SCHOOL <br />STREET. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />9A. SimQnet Drive InfQrmatiQn Meeting <br /> <br />DiscussiQn was held regarding the septic systems and the prQblems being created Qn <br />SimQnet Drive. Rick Breezee, the Building and ZQning AdministratQr, indicated that <br />if there is a prQblem with the septic systems such as affluent being dumped into. the <br />lakes Qr rivers, PCA has regulatiQns against this and it must be cQrrected. CQuncil- <br />member Schuldt questiQned whether the failing systems CQuld be replaced by anQther <br />septic system as cQmpared to. City Sewer. Rick Breezee stated that at the present <br />time there cannQt be a septic system less than 75 feet frQm the lake which means a <br />variance WQuld have to. be granted if the peQple wanted to. replace their septic <br />systems. <br /> <br />Terry Maurer indicated that there were 23 lQts in the plat which WQuld benefit by <br />the imprQvement and that he has CQme up with a very rQugh estimate Qf $100,000 <br />which dQes nQt include water but just sewer. <br /> <br />9B. Planning CQmmissiQn DiscussiQnItems <br /> <br />TQm Bublitz, the City AdministratQr briefly went QVer SQme Qf the items which were <br />discussed at the July Planning CQmmissiQn Meeting. The City AdministratQr stated <br />that junk yards were discussed and the PQssibility Qf updating the nuisance sec- <br />tiQn in the City's Ordinance. The City AdministratQr stated that the City's AttQrney <br />WQuld be lQQking into. this. The City AdministratQr further indicated that hQme <br />QccupatiQns were discussed at the meeting regarding the fact:: as to. whether or nQt <br />the City shQuld be mQre restrictive to. Qutside emplQyees in these hQme QccupatiQns. <br />He further stated that administrative subdivisiQns were discussed and the questiQn <br />had CQme up at the Planning CQmmissiQn as to. whether Qr nQt the City shQuld charge <br />a pro. rata park dedicatiQn fee fQr these administrative subdivisiQns. He further <br />indicated that the Planning CQmmissiQn members felt that maybe they shQuld be re- <br />viewing the administrative subdivisiQns also.. MaYQr Hinkle suggested that a jQint <br />meeting with the City CQuncil and the Planning CQmmissiQn be held to. discuss these <br />items sQmetime in late OctQber Qf 1985. <br /> <br />9C. RDF <br /> <br />MaYQr Hinkle stated to. the CQuncil that Tim YantQS Qf AnQka CQunty will be meeting <br />August 13th with United PQwer and NSP and with the CQunty CQmmissiQner regarding <br />RDF. <br /> <br />9D.
