JERRY MINOR OF JERRY'S AUTO FOR .38 ACRES TO BE ADDED TO HIS CURRENT PROPERTY. <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />7. Designation of Vice-Mayor <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM MOVED TO APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT AS VICE-MAYOR FOR <br />1985. COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION... THE MOTION PASSED 5-0. <br /> <br />8. Designation of Official Newspaper <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO DESIGNATE THE STAR NEWS AS THE CITY'S OFFICIAL <br />NEWSPAPER. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />9. Designation of Official Depositories <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT MOVED TO APPROVE THE AUTHORIZED DEPOSITORIES AS LISTED IN <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S MEMO TO THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL DATED JANUARY 4, 1985 <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />10. Kreuser Zone Change Request - Continued Public Hearing <br /> <br />Councilmember Gunkel indicated that Mr. Gene Kreuser is requesting a zone change <br />for property that he owns on 3rd Street between Gates and Evans Avenue. Council- <br />member Gunkel indicated that the property is currently zoned R-2 and Mr. Kreuser <br />is requesting that the classification be changed to R-3 Townhouse/Multiple Family <br />residential. Councilmember Gunkel indicated that the neighboring properties are <br />zoned R-2, R-3 and R-4. Councilmember Gunkel further indicated that the Planning <br />Commission voted unanimously to recommend to the City Council that the property be <br />rezoned to an R-3 zone. <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle opened the public hearing. No one appeared for or in opposition of <br />the zone change request. <br /> <br />Discussion was carried on regarding the size of the property to be rezoned. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE ZONE CHANGE REQUEST BY MR. GENE KREUSER <br />FOR HIS PROPERTY ON 3RD STREET BETWEEN GATES AND EVANS AVENUE FROM AN R-2 ZONE TO <br />AN R-3 TOWNHOUSE/MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 4-0. <br /> <br />11. HRA Appointment <br /> <br />Mayor Hinkle indicated that at the present time, there are two vacancies on the <br />City's HRA. One, created by the resignation of former Planning Commission member <br />
