C. Paving - The City Council may rcquirc that All streets <br /> and alleys shall be improved in accordance with City' s <br /> design standards. These may vary according to the type of <br /> street. with concrctc or bituminous surface. Ctrecto to <br /> bc paved shall bc surfaced for a oevcn (7) ton axle wcight <br /> capacity in rcoidcntial areas and a ninc (9) ton axlc wcight <br /> capacity in commercial and industrial areas, unlcoo <br /> othcrwioc rcquircd by the City Council . If thc City Council <br /> shall bc surfaced with Six (6) inches of stabilized gravcl <br /> to a surface width of thirty (30) fcct, or ouch other width <br /> approved by thc City Council . <br /> D. Concrete Curb and Gutter - Concrete curb and gutter may <br /> shall be required for all paved streets within the urban <br /> service area. Concrete curb and gutter may also be required <br /> by the City Council on rural streets if it si determined the <br /> curb is necessary for drainage or other related purposes. <br /> E. Sidewalks - Sidewalks may be required along one or both <br /> sides of all arterial and collector streets in residential, <br /> commercialcommcrcial and e industrial areas or within a <br /> subdivision when it is determined by the City Councilthat a <br /> 111 sidewalk will benefit pedestrian circulation.in areas where <br /> residential density equals or exceeds three (3) dwelling <br /> units per net acre or residentially used land. <br /> F. Water Supply - Where a public water supply is available <br /> wateravailablc supply systems are required in urban service <br /> areas and shall be designed in accordance with City <br /> standards.within a reasonable distance of the proposed <br /> subdivision, the subdivider may be required to provide a <br /> connection to the public system. The City Council, in the <br /> reasonable exercise of its discretion, shall determine the <br /> feasibility of this requirement by balancing the cost of <br /> public connection. <br /> Where a public connection is determined to be feasible, <br /> service connections shall be stubbed into the property line <br /> and all necessary fire hydrants shall also be provided. <br /> Extensions of the public water supply system shall be <br /> designed so as to provide public water service to each lot <br /> and shall be in accordance with all appli able City design <br /> standards and requirements. <br /> • <br /> 10.4446 <br />
