Deerfield 3rd Addition Partial Pay Estimate #1 <br /> <br />The City <br />in the <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Engineer stated that Kenko, Inc. had submitted a pay estimate <br />amount of $154,273.33 for work completed in the Deerfield 3rd <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER GUNKEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE PARTIAL PAY ESTIMATE 111 IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $154.273.33 FOR WORK COMPLETED IN THE DEERFIELD 3RD ADDITION <br />PROJECT. COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3- <br />O. <br /> <br />9. Awarding Bid for Public Works Garage Foundation & Supporting Walls <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent stated he had received a bid from J & S <br />Concrete in Princeton for the foundation and supporting walls of the <br />public works building. He indicated he had checked with other <br />contractors regarding the reputation of this company and also to see if <br />the bid was competitive since it was the only bid received. After <br />checking he found the bid to be competitive and the company to be a <br />reputable company and was, therefore, recommending that the Council <br />award the bid to J & S Concrete. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER TRALLE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 86-71, A RESOLUTION <br />AWARDING THE PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE BID FOR THE FOUNDATION AND SUPPORTING <br />WALLS. COUNCILMEMBER ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION PASSED 3- <br />O. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Adoption of Assessment Roll for Public Improvement in Ridgewood East <br />and Ridgewood East 3rd Additions/Public Hearing <br /> <br />The City Administrator stated that the bid has been awarded for the <br />project, the project ordered and contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />Terry Maurer, City Engineer stated that the contract price came in lower <br />than was expected, therefore the assessment rate per unit which was <br />proposed to be $1.100 would be closer to $950. He noted the interest <br />rate would be 9.25% and stated the assessment would be adopted on <br />October 6, 1986 due to some changes to certain pieces of property in the <br />assessment. <br /> <br />Mr. Maurer stated that the public hearing would be opened tonight and <br />then continued to October 6, 1986 because of three parcels of property <br />which had more than one unit and were assessed incorrectly. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Schuldt opened the public hearing. <br />
